Evil is man-made
Life is what you make out of it
Someone once said to me
“Life is not fair.”
I countered and said,
“Life is not fair or unfair; life is what you make out of it.”
Then he goes,
“The babies that die at childbirth, the ones that die from bomb blasts, earthquakes, etc. Who’s responsible for these evils?”
I said,
“Man is responsible for all that happens to him.”
And thus we went back and forth with the discussion.
Somehow, we just believe that there is a certain grey area that we cannot explain as to why and how things happen. And when we don’t have a sufficient explanation, we sum it up and lay the blame on life—whatever that means.
The evils in the world are man-made.
If anything goes wrong on this earth that is beyond physical explanation, then man has aligned with the dark forces to bring it to pass. Never come to that place where you begin to tie things to an unforeseen power called life. Don’t deceive yourself that you can do all you can and yet not make it.
That’s a lie.
If it happened, then you are responsible for it, either through a lack of knowledge or your belief.
Now, are there unfortunate incidents we encounter that we absolutely have no clue what’s happening?
Yes.
A child born into a dysfunctional family and growing up seeing his parents fight, do drugs, etc., will not be blamed if he starts practicing those vices from a young age. The child is not at fault, but his parents are at fault, not “life.”
And when that child is old enough to make his own decisions, if he still chooses to follow those wrong paths even after encountering light, then he shares in the blame. In fact, life will ensure you have an equal chance and opportunity to learn from your pain, bad upbringing, etc. But most people are satisfied with the “life is not fair” mantra and do not seize these opportunities when they come.
Others blame God for the kidnappings, ritual killings, hardship, etc. You’re seeing that your fellow man is perpetuating evil, yet you’re blaming God.
“Don’t throw plastics on the ground; they are not biodegradable and will stay in the soil for years and probably cause a lot of issues.”
Non-biodegradable plastics can have detrimental effects on soil as they persist for long periods, hampering natural processes. They may release harmful chemicals, disrupt microbial activity, and affect nutrient cycling, leading to degraded soil quality and impacting plant growth.
But you keep throwing plastics out of moving vehicles because you do not understand that what you sow you reap.
Life is garbage-in-garbage-out.
So, maybe the “harmless” plastic that you didn’t dispose properly goes into the soil, degrades it, introduces harmful chemicals, and in turn leads to a new disease in plant life that will affect those living in the area after many years. Then they, too, while suffering from such an unknown, so-called natural outbreak, will blame life and God.
But your little right acts of today could have saved them in the future.
I know this may sound unrealistic, but don’t underestimate the power of “mighty things out of little things.”
All the things man does that destroy his ecosystem, he will reap the rewards of; if not now, then future inhabitants of the earth will.
I don’t think God would create the earth and let it have “natural disasters” to destroy the people he made. I believe one way or another, man must be doing or have done something to make the earth go this bad and thus fall apart. I’m not so much into earth science, so I may not have all the knowledge about the causalities of these things. Sadly, we may not all have the time to research every field of life.
But I strongly believe there is an explanation. There are a lot of things you cannot control, but there are things you can decide to change. Starting from your little day-to-day decisions.
See what God’s word says:
Proverbs 19:3, “People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then are angry at the Lord.”
The revelation of God as source and sustainer is evident in all he has created, a God that not only made man to dwell and work on earth but also provided all that man needs to survive on earth as he focuses on his assignment.
That God cannot turn around to kill man.
