For years, I have battled with the meaning of life. For people like us, life cannot simply remain what we know it to be. There have been long nights of meditation and study, trying to unravel why we were created and what exactly we are doing here.
Sometimes I feel condemned by my curiosity. Other times, I see it as a gift. However, I have come to embrace life and meaning from the perception of origin. If we were created, then searching for meaning becomes a different kind of pursuit.
Your devices do not ask themselves why they were made; the makers use them, whether these gadgets are aware of it or not.
I have come to know that there is a Being out there that made us. I may not yet know the full reason He made us, and as much as religion has tried to explain this in different ways, it still often feels vague and, at times, unrealistic.
I am not a freethinker, nor am I an agnostic. I do not like labels, because labels put you in a box, confining you to the very thing you should be questioning. So, what exactly do I affirm and believe?
I do affirm and know that we were created. I do know that Someone—God (though that is not His name)—made us. Does He have His reasons? Yes. What are they? I do not fully understand them, but I lean more toward Christian theology for explanation. However, it is important to mention that I do not subscribe to traditional Christian beliefs and doctrines that misinterpret Scripture, threaten people with the concept of hell, promise a pain-free heaven, or present a rapture that suddenly removes people from the earth to live forever elsewhere, dressed in white and singing “holy, holy.”
Rather, I believe the Bible contains depth and explanation that, when rightly taught, can lead to understanding many questions about humanity and our role on earth. I believe humanity expresses something of God on earth, reflecting life in human form. I believe gender is part of earthly expression, while identity itself transcends gender, color, and form—everything and nothing at once.
I have spent years learning about God, humanity, creation, death, and what comes after, and I wanted to share some of what I have learned here with you.
I do not believe my thoughts are 100% accurate, nor do I believe anyone currently holds complete accuracy—because then we would no longer be human. So I remain open to correction and to healthy, goal-oriented debate.
I teach about life, God, and humanity through the lens of wisdom and revelation drawn from life, science, religion, and especially the Bible. However, as I have already mentioned, my thoughts are not aligned with traditional 21st-century Christian teachings, as I believe many have been grossly misinterpreted and incorrectly exegeted.
